McAnn’s is a family owned and operated pub started in 1945 by two brothers, Bruce and Max. The first location was in White Plains, NY. The name came from combining Max (Mc) with Bruce’s wife’s name (Ann) to get McAnn’s. From there the McAnn’s chain expanded to over 35 locations around Manhattan. Bruce and Max had four other siblings that worked in the pubs, Eventually sons, daughters and grandchildren joined the buiness. For decades you would often find aunts, uncles, and cousins working together throughout the city. Today we have a location in the Port Authority Bus Terminal providing food, drinks, and good cheer to commuters, shoppers, sports fans and local residents. Tell your friends to “Meet Me at McAnn’s, A Pub in the New York Tradition.”
